Empathy leadership and communication remain increasingly important in shaping the next generation.
An article exploring why empathy and leadership matter in shaping the next generation has been recognised at the 32nd Annual Communicator Awards , receiving an Award of Distinction in the Writing – General Feature Article category.
The article, “Why we must teach empathy, not toughness, to the next generation,” was written by Eliza Mohamed of FineTouch Synergy and first published on Twentytwo13.my. The piece reflects on how communication, guidance, and emotional awareness influence the way young people navigate an increasingly complex and visible world.
“This was a piece written in response to a moment many of us were trying to make sense of,” said Eliza Mohamed. “If anything, it reinforces that how we communicate, especially in moments that matter, has a lasting impact, and that empathy continues to play an important role in how we guide the next generation.”
The Communicator Awards is an international programme based in New York and organised by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA). This year’s awards received thousands of entries from across the United States and around the world, with winners including organisations such as The Walt Disney Company, PepsiCo, PwC, Marriott International, and Lenovo.
